Look at those huge muscles! He is such a strong guy. Bryan was working in the yard and when he turned around Blake had climbed up onto the excavator. This kid is fearless.

Dinosaur Museum

While Aunt Lissa and Dallin were visiting, Grandma took us to the Dinosaur Museum.

There was so much to look at. These little ones were very interested, but had short attention spans.
Sara was absolutely terrified and wouldn't leave Grandma Bear's side. This is very atypical behavior as she is usually quite brave. When I asked what she was afraid of she said, "I don't want the dinosaurs to come and eat me."We had a talk about the extinction of dinosaurs and how all we have left of them is their bones. She calmed down a bit after that. Unfortunately we were already 2/3 of the way through the museum.
Blake just loved every minute. He loved the little cave, the star tunnel, the various dinosaur skeletons, the toy dinosaur and puzzle area, the sand table, the sounds, the water running throughout the exhibit, etc. He is such a boy. When he saw the toy dinosaurs on the rug, he immediately sat down and had two dinosaurs roaring at and fighting each other.

Father's Day
We wrapped Daddy's presents while he was working on the cabin on Saturday. The kids colored the wrapping paper and even got to help tape. They were so excited when Bryan got home, that they had to give it to him right then.
Sara reached right in the box to pull out the "trophy" that she picked out for him. "Look Dad, it's a trophy for you," she said. Oh Daddy, we sure love you and appreciate all that you do for us!

Sleeping Beauties . . . I mean, Cuties

Usually at bedtime Bryan will read a story to Blake and I read a story to Sara, then we switch. However, tonight Bryan was gone. So I read to Blake, then went into Sara's room to read to her. Blake decided to join us. They both quickly fell asleep, so I just left them. When I went in to check on them, this is what I found. They were snuggling. I sure love my snuggle bugs!

Sleepy Boy
Lately when I put Blake in his room for naptime, he just plays and doesn't go to sleep. This means that I have a very ornery boy to deal with until bedtime. I discovered if I put on a movie (he prefers Monsters Inc.) and set him up on the couch with his pillow and blankies he will usually fall asleep within 15 minutes. Today he did not want a nap so he insisted on sitting up. Of course, he fell asleep sitting up. Poor guy!
