Dad's Surprise Party

Seven years ago my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I didn't know if my dad would ever be around to meet any of my babies let alone live to see his 60th birthday. So we decided to throw him a surprise party. His birthday isn't until September, so it was truly a surprise. He had no idea what we had been up to.
He spent the afternoon with his best friend from high school, Lonnie Patten. They had decided to go to dinner in Heber and needed to pick up Mom at Nuns Park. When they pulled up he saw us, but then he saw other friends and family.

Tattoos

We went to see How to Train Your Dragon today at the movie. While waiting in the theater to leave my kids were begging me to buy them tattoos from the vending machines. I happened to have lots of quarters in my wallet, so I gave in. When we got home we got ready to swim and applied the tattoos.
Our hot tub/pool was not as refreshing as usual, so the kids cooled off while running through the sprinklers. Then they jumped in the hot tub to warm up.

Family Pics

We decided we needed to get an updated family photo while Mom & Dad were in town. Kelsie took our pictures. Theses are just the pics I captured at the shoot. I can't wait to see how they turned out. Obviously we weren't able to get one of the whole family.

Long Family Cabin Trip

We went to the cabin for the weekend. We had a blast fishing, laughing at the kids, playing with the baby, visiting, reminiscing, eating,
throwing heavy rocks,
playing the beanbag toss
and playing games.
Gracie learned "So Big" and absolutely loves the attention she gets when she performs.
There is nothing like gnawing on a carrot.
Sleeping in the Kid Loft

The boys took the kids on a hike to the cave.
The door was left open and a humming bird flew in. He landed on a windowsill and Rob captured it in his hat. We were able to watch him fly away.

AF Canyon - Friends

Lady started having her pups just before we were suppose to leave for the canyon. Needless to say the kids and I were late. When we got there the boys had discovered a huge dirt "path." They quickly called out to my kids, "Come on! We are bum sliding!" They all slid down the mountain on their bums. They were filthy but had a fabulous time. This is the last of the crew before they washed up for dinner.
