Crazy? Just a little

Can you tell that they dressed themselves? Blake was going through a phase where he wanted to wear shorts everyday . . . even with the snow on the ground.

My Shavin' Fool

Thank you, Spiderman Shaving Kit, for providing much entertainment for my son. You were the only thing he asked Santa for this year.

Show and Tell

For Sara's show and tell she needed to take something that started with the letter 'B'. When I asked her what she wanted to take she responded, "My brother Blake. That has 2 'Bs'."
Unfortunately, Blake got a little shy in front of the class and this is the only picture I got of Sara sharing her Brother Blake with her class. She told them that his favorite color is blue. He likes to color and to play with her. His favorite movie is The Incredibles.
Sara, you are an awesome sissy!

"S"ara's Quilt

This year Sara asked me the day before her birthday if I would make her an, "S-blankie. Like Blake's B-blankie." I explained to her that Quilts take a long time to make, but that I could make her one for Christmas if she wanted. She decided that was acceptable, but insisted on picking out the fabric. One early November day we went fabric shopping and when she found this print she fell in love.I think it is darling, but I never thought that a 5 year old would chose something like this.
Sara opened her quilt on Chrismas morning and loves it.

Happy New Year!

We went to the cabin with the Burgess and Markle families for the new year. On New Year's Day the kids took advantage of the 40" of snow and went sledding. The men worked on a snow cave.

Note the wall of snow that lines the driveway. It is taller than Blake.

When I got outside to take some pictures Blake was not having much luck.
