Indiana Girls' Trip

Sara was so excited to ride in the airplane. She did not remember ever riding in a plane since the last time she was on one she was only 2.
We met a flight attendant who's name was Sara as well. She was so kind to Sara throughout the entire flight. She even gave made it so Sara Mei could watch TV on our flight for free!
When we arrived in Batesville we went to the park just as the Apple Fest was wrapping up. I was so excited to see the Schenes! Sara got to ride in the Kiwanis Train.
Great-Grandma Francis came to dinner on Sunday, as well as Tim and Bobby. Grandma gave
Sara some earrings!
Sara made Uncle Tim get down on the floor with her to help with her coloring. He teased her relentlessly and she absolutely adored him!
We got a 4 generation photo.
This is probably my favorite picture ever taken with Uncle Tim. Thank you, Bobby.

I was able to meet Kim Brinkman and Brandi Nobbe for dinner up in Fishers. I had my camera in my purse and totally forgot to take pictures. After dinner Kim took me thrift store shopping. I found some amazing deals . . . brand new clothes with the tags. She gave me this scarf as a gift and Sara had to model it.
While Mom was at school we went to the orchard to buy apples. Then we headed over to the Gardners' to make some cider. Sara got to turn the press.
These partners in crime crack me up!
Courtney came to Batesville to see us.
There is a small grove of trees in my parents' neighborhood. We went on a walk to search for acorns. Boy did we hit the jackpot! Sara stuffed every pocket full of acorns.
It was quite the windy day.
Before our flight home we went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.
They had a special Barbie exhibit and we were lucky enough to see Barbie and Ken.

Sara the photographer at the Barbie Fashion Show.
She loved Indian exhibit. It was all about India. We saw the homes and markets of India.

The amazing blown glass ceiling on the first floor.
There were plastic shapes like blown glass so the kids could make their own sculptures.

Blake's 1st Day of Preschool

Yesterday Blake wanted to go shopping for a few school clothes. He picked out this Ghostbusters shirt.
What you can't see are the Transformers underpants.

During lunch there was a spill and we had to change shorts. Here he is all ready to go.
He found his cubby quickly.

Blue Day

Today is Blue Day in Kindergarten. Sara went to school dressed from head to toe in blue, well turquoise. She even has blue fingernails.

Labor Day Fishing/Swimming

Bryan told the kids that we were going to go swimming in the lake on Labor Day weekend. The water was freezing cold. However, the kids insisted.

Bryan and Blake jumped in together.

Sara swam out to Bryan from the rocks.
Bryan and Helaman had a cannonball contest.

Blake froze when he got out. Luckily the sun warmed him up a bit.
